Al’s presentation topics include the following, which can be delivered in various formats – from 45-minute keynotes, to half or full-day workshops.

  • THE 180 RULE: USING A NATURAL PHENOMENON TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS In today's fast-paced business environment there's a crying need to find efficient, successful answers to our most pressing challenges. The 180 Rule provides us with an innovative methodology that successfully uses a natural phenomenon inherent in all of us. Studies having been going on since early 1948 regarding this behavioral trait called the Negativity Bias. The 180 Rule uses these findings and applies a process that allows us to eagerly work as a team because of the ease of participation. This effective collaborative effort affords us the opportunity not only to come up with viable solutions but also helps keep the mission on track. With participation comes a greater commitment to achieve success. In sports we strive for the natural golf or tennis swing, in business we have found a business process that successfully utilizes our natural tendencies. The 180 Rule© is that process.

  • WHY LEADERS SHOULD BOTHER TO BUILD EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT Current surveys clearly indicate an alarming percentage of employees are not fully engaged in their work. That poses a huge challenge for leaders who face continued pressure to influence the performance of these same employees toward improving bottom-line results. This interactive presentation addresses that dilemma head-on by identifying many proven and practical techniques that your leaders can easily implement.

  • TAKING HR TO THE BOTTOM LINE Ironically, determining the impact of any organization’s most valuable assets – its people – is so important and yet so difficult to do. While a handful of HR professionals have “broken the code,” the vast majority continue to struggle with this seemingly timeless challenge. In this lively presentation, participants identify and understand several factors that can be measured – including those that need to be quantified regardless of any specific, “provable” return on investment. And they learn practical, proven measurement techniques that can immediately be implemented back on the job.

  • WHY BOTHER TO BE ENGAGED? Al helps employees at all levels find the answer to one of today’s most critical business questions: Why should I bother to be truly engaged in my job? Going beyond typical byproducts such as improved customer service, increased revenue, and enhanced organizational reputation, participants identify the personal benefits to be gained through workplace commitment and involvement. And, they develop personal action strategies for turning reasons and good intentions into actual behaviors.

  • THE STREETSAVVY LEADER So let me ask you, when it comes to your role as a leader, How You Doin’? Do you have employees who seem to resent being asked to do their jobs? Do you have several staff members who do just enough to get by? Do you sometimes feel uncomfortable holding your team accountable for results? Do you wake up frustrated by the same people problems day after day after day? Al Lucia doesn't tiptoe around one of the toughest issues leaders face on a daily basis: how to hold people accountable for results. Al's commitment is to share with you the best advice he has based on his 35-plus years of leadership experience. His vision and hope is that you will be a more STREETSAVVY LEADER who can maneuver down any “street” and handle any situation that crosses your path.
